Gift giving this holiday season

A team of five from our congregation visited this church in April for a Border Immersion experience. We were profoundly impacted by the work so many are doing to support immigrants and wanted to do something tangible to support their work. As an alternative to traditional gift giving this Christmas, please consider supporting one of the outreach projects of Iglesia Luterana Cristo Rey, a Lutheran Church on the border in El Paso, Texas. This tiny church reaches out to both sides of the U.S. - Mexico border with projects ranging from supplying a tiny medical clinic in Juarez to giving out Christmas food baskets to needy families in their own neighborhood.  We have put together a catalog with descriptions of each of these projects and invite you to read about them.  You can choose from 18 different outreach projects and purchase one or more "shares" with a tax-deductible contribution, in honor of your gift recipient.  Look for a paper copy of the catalog, including order blank, in Fellowship Hall, or look below for more options. In our lives of plenty, this may be the perfect gift for someone on your gift list who doesn't need any more "stuff"!

Living God's love, justice, and inclusion.

Never place a period where God has placed a comma.
We believe the church's mission is to change lives — individually, systemically and globally.  We work to make transformation possible, but trust in God's grace.  This is why we insist that church must be a place of vitality in worship, learning and advocacy. We are committed to working for justice, and we believe that lives are changed through global experiences and friendships.  Why? Because God is still speaking,
